    AMHRI’ Participation in the Global South NGOs Platform General Assembly

    Mr. Aziz Zaid, Vice President of the Association Ma’onah for Human Rights and Immigration (AMHRI), together with the accompanying delegation, participated in the General Assembly meeting of the Global South NGOs Platform (GSNP), attended by representatives of more than 150 United Nations ECOSOC-accredited NGOs, during which Mr. Fuad Karimli was elected as General Coordinator of the Platform.

    AMHRI Participates in High-Level UN event on Migration and Urban Development

    The Association Ma’onah for Human Rights and Immigration (AMHRI) participated in the high-level international side event entitled: “Safe, Inclusive and Sustainable Cities in the Age of Migration – Towards the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13),” held at United Nations Headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the Second International Migration Review Forum (IMRF 2026), co-organized by the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

    AMHRI & GICJ Expose Iran’s Record of Targeting Schools and Children

    During the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, an urgent debate requested by Iran to address the U.S. airstrike on the “Al-Shajara Al-Tayyiba” school in Minab drew significant human rights engagement. In this context, the Association Ma’onah for Human Rights and Immigration, in a joint statement with the Geneva International Centre for Justice, emphasized the imperative of protecting children and educational institutions in armed conflicts.

    1,700 Youth from 73 Countries Gather for : A Shared Commitment to Global Cooperation

    With the participation of Mr. Mohammed Ali Alaw, President of the Association Ma’onah for Human Rights and Immigration (AMHRI), the Association proudly joined the 2026 World International Model United Nations (WIMUN) Conference, organized by the World Federation of United Nations Associations on February 10. The conference brought together more than 1,700 young men and women representing 73 countries from around the world, marking one of the largest multilateral youth gatherings held at United Nations Headquarters in New York.

    Association Ma’onah praises NYC Mayor’s Order Limiting ICE Access to City Facilities

    Association Ma’onah for Human Rights & Immigration (AMHRI) welcomed the executive order issued by the Mayor of New York City on February 6, 2026, which restricts non-local immigration enforcement agencies, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), from entering non-public areas of City property without a judicial warrant, with limited exceptions for emergencies or authorized access by City officials.
