    AMHRI Participates in UNGA80 Civil Society Town Hall at UN Headquarters, New York

    As invited by the President of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Association Maonah for Human Rights and Immigration (AMHRI) participated in the open civil society meeting held at United Nations Headquarters in New York.

     New York — 28 January 2026 

    At the invitation of the President of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Association Maonah for Human Rights and Immigration (AMHRI) participated in the open civil society meeting held at United Nations Headquarters in New York, under the theme:

    “Together Better: The Role of Civil Society in Strengthening the United Nations in Times of Division.”

    During the session, AMHRI delivered oral and written briefings addressing the situation in Yemen and other conflict-affected regions, aligned with the meeting’s agenda. AMHRI highlighted urgent humanitarian and human rights challenges and emphasized the essential role of civil society in advancing peaceaccountabilitycivilian protection, and advocacy for victims.
