Advocacy — Human Rights at the UN

    Advocacy

AMHRI advances human rights where decisions are made. We participate in the UN Human Rights Council and other United Nations bodies in Geneva and New York — delivering oral statements, submitting written statements and reports, and convening side-events that put the rights of the displaced and migrants on the agenda. Our advocacy is grounded in documentation, research, and the testimony of the communities we serve.

    What this includes

    • Oral and written statements to the UN Human Rights Council
    • Human-rights reports and submissions
    • Side-events and panels at UN sessions
    • Coalition-building with civil society across Yemen, the Arab region, and the diaspora
