(Maonah) denounces the genocidal massacre that occurred in the Interior Ministry

(Maonah) Association loaded the Minister of Interior and Major General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar with the responsibility of the genocidal massacre that occurred in the building of the Ministry of Interior of Yemen outside the framework of the law, and strongly condemns the campaign of defamation and blasphemy against the journalist and human rights activist Bushra Al-Maqtari and declare its solidarity with her, and reiterates its appeal to the international community to open international investigations in this terrorist atrocity and in all the previous crimes of terrorism that took place in Yemen.
In the context of what it is doing to monitor and document violations and monitor the commitment of the Yemeni parties to the international legitimacy resolutions Maonah Association for Human Rights and migration recorded during this week, the genocidal massacres and several gross violations by the armed militias that belong to the Yemeni Islah party and its partners, considering it as stark breaches to what is stipulated in the Gulf initiative and defiance by the JMP and its partners which the (Islah) represents its largest political parties, to the will of the international community.
In this context, the (Maonah) denounced in a statement today, the armed militias of Minister of the Interior and the Army dissident commander of the First Armored Division, Major General Ali Muhsin al-Ahmar that embarked upon and killed more than 15 soldiers, members of the police and dozens wounded as they were staging a sit-in inside their camp that is adjacent to the the Interior Ministry building, on July 31, the worst genocidal massacre taking place in Yemen during the crisis years and without any legal justification.
The Association considered the offense in the interior building as a terrorist crime and a genocidal massacr outside the framework of the law and both the Minister of Interior and Major General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar bear the responsibility as they oversaw and supervised the commission of this massacre, as they are as well considered as gross violations of international resolutions issued on Yemen, and as deliberate crimes by them and those who stand behind them to blow up the situation militarily in Yemen again and thwart the efforts of the Presiden and the military affairs Committee, and therefore the Association reiterates to appeal to the international community and human rights organizations to condemn this terrorist atrocity and the pressure in order to quickly open international investigation into this heinous terrorist massacre and every terrorist crimes that have occurred before in the Yemen, the Association also called on all Yemeni political parties for the condemnation of this massacre and disown those who committed them and stop the attacks and the continuing violations, and not put obstacles in the way the current efforts to achieve security and stability and to enable citizens to exercise their normal lives.
(Maonah) also called for in its statement the President of the Republic Field Marshal Hadi to issue a resolution exempting the interior minister and commander of the First Armored Division, Major General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar of their official functions prior refering them to investigations for this heinous crime and the demand from the United Nations to form an international investigation committee in this terrorist crime and all the former terrorism crimes, that have taken place in Yemen and in accordance with the international legitimacy resolutions.
On the other hand the Association said in its statement: The Association strongly condemns the campaign of defamation and blasphemy against journalist and human rights activist Bushra Al-Maqtari by scientists and the media sources that follow a political party, partner in the government of Yemen, and considers it as so narrowing and a flagrant violation of the rights and freedoms of activists, and declare solidarity and stand with the activist Bushra Al-Maqtari , and the Association filed a complaint to the Attorney-General to urgently open a thorough investigation into these crimes against journalists and urged him to speed the arrest of the perpetrators and all the crimes committed by the evil hands and bring them to justice so that they get their deterrent punishment according to the laws in force.
